Jonathan RussinOf Counsel

Mr. Russin is a specialist in international trade, investment, finance, emerging markets and higher-level corporate and business law. He is a recognized international law expert, with particular emphasis on the legal aspects of doing business in Russia. Publications include: Author: Business in Russia Today, Pacific Russia Oil & Gas Report, Vol. V, No. 2, Summer 2002; Author: The Powers That Be, The Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation, American Chamber of Commerce in Russia, Vol 7-No. 33, Jan.-Feb. 2000; Co-Author: Forming A Russian Company, sponsored by the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Washington, D.C., 1994. He is the recipient of the Order of Prince St. Vladimir, Russian Orthodox Church. He also was Co-Author: Forming A Dominican Company, 10th Edition, American Chamber of Commerce of the Dominican Republic, 1987; and, Co-Author: Laws Affecting Franchise Operations in Spain, American Bar Association, 1982. He speaks English, Spanish, and Russian, enabling him to provide personalized counsel to corporations, organizations and individuals with challenges that can span the world.

Educational and Professional Background

Mr. Russin is a graduate of Yale University (B.A., 1959; J.D., 1963). He was an attorney in the Office of the General Counsel, Agency for International Development, U.S. Department of State, 1964-1969 (Regional Legal Adviser, Caribbean Area, 1967-1969). He has served as Chair, Advisory Council, Institute for European, Russian and Eurasian Studies, George Washington University, 1991-1993; General Counsel, Orthodox Church in America; and, as Washington Representative, Russian Orthodox Church.
